Dill Pickle Pizza with Creamy Garlic Chicken
Creamy garlic white sauce, shredded chicken, mozzarella, and a generous layer of sliced dill pickles — baked until bubbly and finished with a drizzle of hot honey and fresh dill. The pickle pizza that the internet argued about and then quietly made for themselves.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cooked chicken
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup dill pickle slices
- 2 tbsp hot honey
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
- 2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to a 12-inch round. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel.
- 3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- 5. Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and black pepper.
- 6. Spread the garlic cream sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust.
- 7. Top with shredded cooked chicken, then the mozzarella cheese, and finally the dill pickle slices in an even layer.
- 8. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- 9. Remove from oven. Drizzle hot honey over the pizza and sprinkle with fresh dill.
- 10. Let cool for 2 minutes, then slice and serve.

For extra crispiness, preheat a baking sheet in the oven and place the pizza directly on it. You can use store-bought rotisserie chicken for convenience.
